The only thing that can stop a bad cop with a drone? A pissed farmer with a kite.

As tensions continue between Indian officials and farmers over minimum crop prices, agriculture workers have escalated their resistance to literal new heights, singlehandedly — or should we say singlestringedly — downing a police drone with none other than a run-of-the-mill kite.

In a now-viral clip of the demonstration in Northern India, the DIY aircraft can be seen soaring high in the sky, circling a police drone purportedly filled with tear gas.

“Come on!” a protester could be heard saying amid the cheering crowd.

Though it’s unclear whether or not this tactic was ultimately effective, the drone ebbing and flowing back and forth in the cloudless sky, we know these cops learned a tough lesson about messing with farming folk: Anything you can do, they can do better … and on a kite string budget.
